FAQS

What is City Connect Free Internet?

City Connect is a free, reliable and easy to use ad supported wifi service provided in high cluster locations as a social amenity which is aimed at making daily living more pleasant and productive for our users. Our target locations are BRT Buses, BRT Terminals, Malls, Parks and many more.

Why are you giving out free internet?

Given the increasing number of internet functionalities and capabilities, access to the internet is vital to staying productive, connected and informed. However, many Nigerians are shut out of the internet because of data cost which is prohibitive, City Connect offers a subsidy of some sort to users; this we believe will help users get more value online.

How is City Connect different from other free Wi-Fi?

City Connect is a municipal Wi-Fi service; it is a continuous network where users can be on the move and be still be connected over long stretches (we currently have 15km of Wi-Fi connectivity).

How to use a Wi-Fi hotspot?

Your device [mobile phone, phablet, tablet and laptop] needs to have its Wi-Fi capability switched on [under ‘settings’ or ‘connections’ or the drop down from your device screen] and you need to be in range of the hotspot [when you see the Wi-Fi name on your network list].
